Medical Officer -
Zuri Health | Tanzania & Uganda (30% travel required)

Role Description

  1. First-level medical consultation with the patient.

  2. Diagnosis of the patient.

  3. Requesting laboratory investigations.

  4. Prescription of medicine.

  5. Doctor at-home visits.

  6. Referral to a physical general practitioner and referral to a specialist.

  7. Monitoring and providing appropriate clinical care (medical and surgical) to patients.

  8. Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.

  9. Ensuring the highest standards in patient care are maintained.

  10. Verifying complex diagnoses and facilitating treatment plans.

  11. Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

  12. Reporting to senior management, as well as liaising between administrative and medical staff.

  13. Ensuring consistent and accurate medical record-keeping practices and adherence to data protection regulations.

  14. Maintaining patient rights and being aware of cultural differences when dealing with patients.

  15. Liaising with other medical and non-medical staff in the organization to ensure quality treatment as well as in research and design of services and product offerings.

  16. Perform corporate wellness screenings, medical camps/outreaches as well as doctor at home service.

  17. Reporting on-call (off shifts, weekends, and holidays) as scheduled.

  18. Performing administrative duties and risk management.

  19. Managing allocated budgets and identifying areas of improvement in patient care.

  20. Keeping informed on advancements in the field and contributing to medical research programs.

  21. Admitting patients requiring special care followed by investigations and treatment.

  22. Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

  23. Program Management - Ensuring seamless virtual healthcare delivery, optimizing clinical workflows, and enhancing patient care through various programs in women's health, continuous care, telemedicine, and outreach programs.
